damn, looks like I lost my save file sometime between the previous release and now

Love the game, and love the update. Great job!

Will I need to be a current Patreon supporter to play the demo or will past supporters be able to access it? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I don't know much about how Patreon works.

So sorry if this is a dumb question, but I've just downloaded the game and am not sure how to run it. I've unzipped the file, but don't see an executable within it.

If you read the original comment again, you'll see my concern isn't with the game itself or where the information is stored, but that it's being stored at all. I wouldn't be at all surprised if a malware incorporates a few lines of code that check the save file of this game for the player's SSN considering that it had a bunch of news articles just published on it. Also, as a side note, how is calling a game "a random game" slander? It's a game I stumbled across randomly, is that not a correct way to refer to it?

It’s best practice not to give random games you downloaded off the internet your social security number. This game asks for it. I’m not saying they’ll do anything bad with it, but I am saying you’re better off safe than sorry. Having that number saved anywhere on your computer would be bad if you ever get malware. Enter a fake number then replace it with the real one after the game if you do actually intend to use this to file your taxes.

This page: https://x4fab.itch.io/ac-content-manager claimed this product came with a Steam key. Purchased, went to plug the key into Steam, and Steam says the key I was provided is invalid. Turns out that key isn't a Steam key, you plug it into Content manager itself (a download link is provided) to upgrade from the Free to the Paid version. Could be made more clear, please correct the line that says Steam key.

Was able to recover it! Gave up on trying to restore all the saves, and tried just save 6, my most recent one. No clue why, but that made it work.

Unfortunately this doesn’t seem to be working. The files where there, so I moved them to the desktop, then opened the game and created the new saves. Closed the game and re-opened it just to check that the new saves where still visible, they where. Plopped the files from the desktop back into the folder they came from overwriting the new ones in the process, but upon opening the game again it’s as if I’ve never played before, all save spots are empty and there’s no auto-save to load.

In case it’s of any relevance, my game is version 40.2

Opened the game. My laptop battery died just after loading in to my save. I plugged the laptop in, and booted up game again. Every save is now gone. WTF? I literally played through the night last night and all of today just to lose it all.
